Bask’s background:
While Bask was born in Czechoslovakia, he moved to the US with his family as a child due to the political tension and turmoil in communist Czechoslovakia.
Growing up in Florida, Bask quickly became inspired by American graphic art and graffiti art. So it may come as no surprise that Bask pursued a career as an artist in his early twenties. Luckily for Bask, it didn’t take long to grow a following and Bask had no trouble selling his early art to local art galleries.
Art style:
Bask’s art is heavily influenced by his satirical outlook on the world and politics and often has a slightly dark undercurrent. As an example, Bask has produced a painting which as a stylized image of Trump which has the words American Horror Story plastered over Trump’s visage.
The text which Bask chose to use on this particular image features the same font as the text often used on adverts for the popular horror show American Horror Story, which has enjoyed several seasons over the past decade.
Some would suggest that this particular piece of art which is named Bask: American Horror Story suggests that Americans are now living in a real-life horror story under the rule of President Donald Trump.
However, not all of Bask’s art features such dark themes. As an example, Bask has also produced pieces of arts such as prints that feature positive messages such as “Stay Curious”.
Availability:
While Bask is often commissioned to create artwork for individuals who are willing to pay top dollar for his work, Bask also makes prints available, that he signs for his fans.
Critical acclaim:
Not only has Bask been invited to showcase his work in galleries across the USA but some of his art can also be seen in international art galleries. Bask has also had the honor of being commissioned by the producers of the movie Iron Man 3 to create a series of paintings, which featured in both hero Tony Stark’s lab as well as in the home of Stark’s nemesis the Mandarin.
Bask Graffiti:
As well as creating prints and paintings, Bask has also created a name for himself by producing graffiti-inspired art and has even created graffiti style masterpieces on buildings, walls, and bridges in far-flung cities such as St. Petersburg. Although Bask also has work on display on walls in US cities such as Detroit, that are well worth visiting.
Some of Bask’s work also merge the line between his street art and his traditional art as Bask often creates traditional art pieces which showcase images of some of his latest street art.
